kendra and her dad don corpier in the 90s

Happy Father’s Day! That up there is a picture of me with my daddy when I was a little girl. I miss him, and hope he’s happy wherever he ended up 😀 It’s been a few years since he passed away and I still miss him and of course, always will.

Anyways, sorry I didn’t post a jounral yesterday. I got so caught up in playing with my new VR headset that I lost track of time and it was already Sunday. I’m sure you all can understand. And if you haven’t played with a VR headset, yet, I suggest you do so. It’s fun.

I met up with my mom, stepdad, and step-bro to celebrate father’s day and brought the VR headset with me to show them. Bill, my step-bro thought it was cool, my mom thought it was soooo real and tried to touch the dinosaur (I laughed). Then My step-dad put it on and almost immediately had to take it off.. It made him super dizzy.

Playing with the new VR and watching people experience it for the first time is very nostalgic for me and reminds me of when Doom and Wolfenstein had first come out on PC and kids were getting sick and throwing up from not being used to the 3D relm. It makes me so happy to watch people experience new technology and enjoy it. (teardrop of happiness in my eye right now)

Anywho, so my new toy is super cool. Moving on.. so I got an email response from ID@XBox on Friday night.. It seems like they might be interested in my game, Save Me From Myself, since I sent them all the information I possibly could from my Game Document, but they want to see actual footage before they send me any dev kits and commit to anything. Totally understandable. So, now I’m super motivated and want to get some stuff started.

So, I will be working super duper hard to get this game done to a point where I can make a gameplay video and send it to them. They may say that to every indie dev, but it still makes me feel good that they responded with such positive words. I’m hoping when I send my gameplay video to Sony they will be just as positive.

I’m undecided at whether or not I want the game to be exclusive to a console; I guess it would just come down to who offers me the best deal, should they want me to be exclusive with them. But that’s a little farther down the road. For now, I need to get some gameplay done.

So, good night, I’m going to work on my game code mechanics a bit and then head to bed.

PS: The tutorial will be done soetime this week… I need to render it all out now.
