Well, it’s been about a week since my last game developer journal. I have been pretty busy. Having to do my day job and went to a wedding. I had some delicious drinks and then I spent the next first half of the day recovering. Congrats to my friends Ian and Carly! You guys are adorable!
So, other than my regular life duties, I have been working on my game document (which will be released to you all pretty soon in my How To Make Your First Indie Game series) and getting the finishing touches of my first game. Well, my first publicly published game title that I programmed and designed myself, with a little help from my friends and peers.
Now, that’s not to say I designed the game. Many of you may already know of the game: 3 Man. And it is not actually the first game I have ever worked on. It is however my first game that I programmed and created all the graphics for myself, and then am publishing to the Android Marketplace. So, I am super excited.
3 Man is a drinking game that uses dice. You roll the dice, and there are rules assigned to all the pairs. The first person to roll a 3 is declared the 3 man and every time a 3 is rolled, or the dice roll equals 3, the 3 man must drink. Well, that’s the basic idea anyways. In the end, you end up fairly drunk. Haha.
Anyways, it should be available for Android this coming Friday, June 29, 2012. (As long as I don’t come across any major issues.) It will be available for $0.99, and if it does well, I might make more drinking games.
However, whether 3 Man does well or not, I will also be working on my next project, which is the platform game called Save Me From Myself. I’m planning on that one to be available for the PC and XBLA as a downloadable game, but that is still undecided.
Until next time!
